We try to give all our kittens the best start in life that is possible. Our pregnant females always have a separate room to themselves to give birth in and we watch them 24/7 the last 2 weeks prior to giving birth.

We think it is important with as social and friendly cats as possible and therefore we make sure that our babies get used to everything from wet kisses to the vacuum cleaner. When the kittens are about 6 weeks old they get access to the rest of our home, under lour supervision of course. In this way they ca start socialize with the rest of the cats in our household in a natural and secure way.

Sometimes it is very hard to determine which colour a colourpoint kitten has, especially if it is naked. If we are not sure we always do a DNA-test so that we can determine the colour correctly. It is important for us to get the correct colour in the pedigree, even if it is not as "popular" as others.

We also try to show our kittens before thay move, but this is not always possible. We think it is nice with a possability to train for future shows and also for their new owners to get to know how the shows work.

Our kittens are our babies and therefore we are very selective when it comes to their new homes, everything has to feel right both for us and the buyer for a S*Mumsikoff kitten to move to a new home. ALl kittens are individuals and have different needs, therefore we choose homes after their individual traits and not after their colour etc.
